Relaxing in our Library, Members and their guests can enjoy a fun casual evening of tastings, while wine is demystified by highly qualified educators.

There is not only the education, but wines to taste and a beautiful charcuterie board, price is €25 per person. You will get to rate the wines and try and identify their characteristics. Come individually or with others and you will meet people who are  equally as enamoured, as the mystery and sensory aspect of wine is revealed.

The next meeting will be held on Friday 8 November, will welcome Gavin Watchorn, of Whelehan Wines. Gavin will talk about Festive Wines.Gavin who is described as “Irreverent and funny “ will come with a special offer for the members of the Wine Society who wish to purchase their “Festive Wines” from Whelehan’s Wines. This offer will be only for the attendees and will be time limited. 

Remembering we had a full house on our last two meetings book early to enjoy this great offer and to participate in choosing our “Club Bar Wines” because for  the first time and probably not for the last, the wine society participants will be asked to vote on 2 wines of the month.


Next year we plan to have our meetings every 2 months starting at the end of January, date and speaker will be confirmed in December, so check back here for updates!

Don’t forget the First Club Wine Dinner will take place on October 24th. Anthony Tindal of Tindal Wines www.tindalwines.com will  be the speaker. He is an amazingly well travelled wine blender, importer and raconteur. Tindal wines own one of our best local wine retailers Searsons.
