RIYC GOLF SOCIETY
FIRST GOLD OUTING UPDATE
The newly relaunched Golf Group had its first outing on Friday 2 October at Edmondstown. Four teams competed in a fourball better ball format and we managed 11 holes before the heavens opened and stopped play. The worthy winners were Aidan Daly and Joe Timbs with an excellent score of 27 points, just beating Michael Monaghan and Liam Murphy on 25 points. The next outing will be in Edmondstown on December 3rd and all golfers, official handicap or not, are welcome. The hope is to have a further two outings in the New Year before the final Club Championship singles competitions for men and women. If you would like to take part in any of the events, please contact Enda Kenny.
FIRST SOCIETY OUTING - FRIDAY 2ND OCTOBER
The Golf Society has been relaunched and the first outing will be on Friday October 2nd in Edmondstown Golf Club (Rathfarnham), starting at 13.30.
An official handicap will not be needed but some golf ability and experience, however distant, is required. So, it’s a good excuse for both active and casual/lapsed golfers to meet and enjoy a common interest outside of sailing. The cost will depend on the green fees at each outing plus a small contribution to prizes.
Please contact Enda Kenny ([email protected]) if you wish to join the group and whether you would
like to take part in the group’s first outing on October 2nd, 2026.
