In a 150 strong fleet of classics, my 1894 G L Watson designed cutter Peggy Bawn was awarded “Most Authentic Yacht”.
From 1919 to her restoration in 2005 she was the doyen of DĂșn Laoghaire Harbour.
Sailing with our 68 year old cotton sails, made by Perrys, must have convinced the jury, and knowing its members Robin Knox-Johnson, Daniel Charles and Oliver Berking also helped!
