2019 Junior Dinner & Awards; Winners & Photos

Friday 8 November on a cold November evening, far from the warm sunny sailing of the summer, over 75 Junior Sailors and their instructors attended the Junior Dinner and Awards.

Our Vice Commodore, Pat Shannon, himself a former Junior Organiser in the Club, lead a small table of adults including the Rear Commodore Sailing, Jerry Dowling and the Junior Committee.

The evening was about our Junior Sailors and their achievements throughout the year. We also recognised the successes of some of our Junior Sailors who have represented the Club in competitions across Ireland, the UK and Europe. Their dedication and long cold days spent training should serve as an inspiration to us all. Indeed, two of our prize winners, Max Goodbody and Tim Norwood, were unable to attend as they were braving the cold at a 29er dinghy competition in Weymouth last weekend.
