Paddy Barry, longtime Club Member, Civil Engineer & living in Monkstown, has sailed in the Antarctic (following Shackleton), Greenland (West and East), Siberia's North East Passage, Russian White Sea and waters bounding the North Atlantic, Azores, Caribbean, Newfoundland, Iceland, Jan Mayen, Spitsbergen & Norway. He was Expedition Leader of yacht Northabout's crossing of the North West Passage in 2001.

He has recently authored an autobiography 'So Far, So Good'.
