The RIYC CINE CLUB screenings commence at 8.15pm in the Drawing Room. Attendance is free to all members and their guests.  Pre-screening supper €20 main course and a glass of wine available from 7.00pm in the Dining Room. Reservations to Catering.  
  • Wednesday 25 October: “Sunset Boulevard” an American 1950’s film noir with Gloria Swanson as the fading silent screen star Norma Desmond attempting her Hollywood comeback. Directed by Billy Wilder the 1950s the film also stars Erich von Stroheim and William Holden as well as appearances by Cecil B. DeMille, Hedda Hopper and cameos from silent era stars.
  • Wednesday 29 November: “My Afternoons with Margueritte” an uplifting story of a chance encounter starring Gerard Depardieu as a semi-literate and lonely odd-job man Germain who bonds with a much older and well-read woman Gisèle Casadesus as Margueritte. French with English subtitles.
