HALLOWE'EN WINS BIG IN PANERAI MAHON REGATTA

Following on from their 2nd place in the Big Boats class in the Panerai Argentario Regatta in Italy, Hallowe'en, built in 1926, has won the Big Boats class in Mahon XIV Copa del Rey, Menorca. This is Hallowe'en's first big boats class win in eleven years of Irish ownership. The crew of sixteen sailors, included eight Dragon sailing, Members of the Royal Irish, including former Commodore Dan O'Connor, Des Cummins and Adrian Rowan, who did both Regattas, with Declan Hayes, Tim Carpenter, John McNally, Sean Hayes, and Paddy Halpenny.
With two firsts and a second in the three race series, Hallowe'en scored a resounding victory over her nemesis, Moonbeam IV, winning the final race by well over half an hour on the water, to claim line honours in a windy Regatta sailed in big seas.
